Case Studies and Legal Analysis:

Throughout the site, I employ a methodology using a case study and my legal analysis of the facts of that case, by setting out likely legal consequences flowing from those facts. Each case is of course unique, and the analysis, opinions and conclusions are not guarantees of a specific outcome in litigation. Rather, they are offered to the reader for informative purposes, illustrating both legal rights and obligations. Generally, the facts contained in the case study are hypothetical and for teaching or illustrative purposes only. The streets and geographic locations are factual and accurate, and represent real places in Baltimore MD.  The law-the cases statutes and regulations referred to in the case  studies-are of course the actual legal principles in effect in Baltimore, MD, and obviously my legal analysis is one that applies real law and real legal reasoning to hypothetical facts. The process is not unlike what I experienced in law school with a professor giving hypothetical facts and asking the students to draw legal conclusions and apply legal principles to those facts. I endeavor to engage in the same process here to highlight and illustrate legal concepts and  their application for the reader. The events of the accident are hypothetical and the illustrative. Any resemblance to a real accident or real people is purely coincidental in these examples.

How long we retain your data
